Hilary has lived in Drayton for 53 years and taught at the Drayton schools from 1969 to 1983. She previously served on the Parish Council for thirteen years and was on the committee responsible for the Drayton Neighbourhood Plan.

Hilary loves living in Drayton and being part of the village community. She loves walking, gardening, travelling and jazz and is particularly interested in footpaths, trees, recreational facilities, housing and activities for youngsters. She is on The Friends of Longdale and the Bob Carter Leisure Centre committees and a WI member.

Hilary would love to see the village centre become a community space instead of through road for traffic.
