Neighbourhood Plan
Regulation 14 Consultation
Drayton's future is in your hands
Back in 2016, the people of Drayton came together to create a Neighbourhood Plan - a document that sets out how we want our village to grow and change. It gave us a stronger say in how and where new development happens, what we want to protect and what we'd like to improve.
Since then, the Plan has helped the Parish Council to:
-
Shape and influence local planning decisions
-
Focus on things that matter most to our community
-
Secure extra funding from developers through the Community Infrastructure Levy which has been spent on improvements like new play equipment, football goals, picnic tables, defibrillators, CCTV, bike racks, fencing and bins.
A lot has changed since the current Plan was adopted. Over 200 new homes have been approved, national policy has changed and new environmental requirements have been introduced.
Our Neighbourhood Plan needs updating so Drayton stays the kind of place we all want to live in.
The updated Plan will guide decisions on housing, green spaces, local facilities and the character of the area for years to come.
-
Protect what matters: Help preserve the places and features you love about Drayton including safer walking, cycling and driving routes.
-
Plan for the future: Influence what kind of homes get built and which green spaces and views are protected.
-
Support local priorities: Ensure investment for facilities and activities for all ages.
